We stayed 6 nights in Marquis and it was excellent. Spa and fitness centre facilities were impressive. A capable conceirge is always important for visitors needing advice about tours, shopping and museums. Jose Acero was perfect in this role. Choice of three restaurants provided a variety of menus and environments. We enjoyed the terrace in La Cuchara where our waiter Octavio was always helpful and attentive. Highly recomended.
This used to be the highest hotel in Mexico City, one of the first luxury hotels, and it still is. The rooms are quiet, nicely decorated, clean and with luxury details. Definitely a great place to stay
The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff was so very accommodating and helpful, very patient with my broken Spanish and I didn't encounter a single staff member who didn't speak excellent English. The front desk upgraded our room upon arrival and it was fantastic. Andres was our waiter during our stay and he was incredible. He was personable and kind, and gave us local recommendations as well as making great suggestions for our meals which turned out to be wonderful. Thank you to the Marquis Reforma and Andres for making our trip so special.
We stayed here 3 nights. Arrived tired after overnight flight and the arrivals manager found a room for use right away (even though it was well before noon). We were upgraded to a lovely King suite - great bed, tons of room, superb bathroom, and well equipped. A sweet treat was delivered every night and the room was spotlessly clean.
We were here when a 7.9 earthquake occurred. Hotel staff was very professional, safe evacuation and no damage at all. It was our first ever earthquake and the hotel staff made us feel safe and cared for.
Now, the spa. We booked deep tissue massages and even though I get these often I must admit this was the best one ever! The spa facilities were lovely and restful. Was treated like royalty. Gym looked really good too.
Finally we ate in the hotel for a few meals including room service one night, All meals were well prepared and the service was excellent. They location on the Paseo Reforma is very good - near park, lots of nearby restaurant options, and walkable to lots of places. Uber or hotel taxi can take you further afield.
This is a first class, small and warm hotel in a very large City. I recommend staying here.
Review of the hotel
Location and hotel staff was really super also the food at their resturant was excellent.
Hotel staff- really super, they tried to make the best of your visit
Room size - very big and specious, kept well and was clean
Concierge service is super- ask them anything they know it and tried it
Only thing to notice is that the hotel is not very modern, but it has been renovated
Would stay there again :)
The rooms are nice, the bed is SO comfortable, and the staff is great. Luis & Axel waited on myself and a coworker every morning for breakfast in the restaurant (Los Canarios) and they were friendly & made great recommendations.
We were very fortunate to find this place. 8 day stay. Rooms are awesome, staff great and Restaurants have a huge selection. The first day we got there we ate at the Cafe, I ordered California rolls, and flan for dessert. The next morning we went to a restaurant on lobby floor can’t remember the name but what a delicious breakfast! I ordered omelette light with green sauce it was delicious and our waiter Moises was on point! We asked him if he was working tomorrow morning. We are asking for him tomorrow.

The Marquis Reforma in Mexico City was a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional , especially: Jaime and Javier at the front and Capitan - Naranjo - Ivan - Adan in the dining room. Very thoughtful and caring.
Came here for business. Staff was incredibly helpful and engaging. Great place to do business, meet people, and location to explore the city. Also, great restaurants and food. I lost definitely recommend.
I visited for the 1st time on business and was thoroughly impressed, even before I stepped foot in the hotel. I was efficiently and enthusiastically helped by Jose Acero, the Concierge who assisted me in making round trip air transport arrangements. He also helped to locate one of my boxes for a conference I was attending. He was so pleasant and accommodating. I was also excellently supported and served by the entire staff at the Market Gourmet Café. I had a private breakfast for 17 people and was served by Diego who was so attentive to our every need. This hotel is top notch and I'll be sure to come back again.
If you are ever in this hotel and decide to enjoy a quite meal after a long day, make sure you ask for Octavio Barcenas as your waiter. He offers magnificent service. Truly impressed with his hospitality and care for the client. Thank you! Will definitely visit again!
Restaurant Los Carnarios
Service and food exceptional.
Ask for Osiel-Adan or Alex.
The manager is Naranjo.
Spa Service world class.
Friendly staff and very accommodating.
Great location and close to everything.
I stayed in this hotel with a friend for the Presidents holiday weekend and I was absolutely satisfied with the hotel staff including the front desk staff where we were received with a pleasant upgrade to a junior suite. The concierges were extremely helpful and courteous. They gave us the information we were looking for and we got the tickets for the Ballet Folklorico (not to miss world class show) with their help, delivered to our hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly, especially Daniela during our check-out. The location of the hotel is unparalleled, located in the famous and beautiful Paseo de la Reforma at walking distance to the Angel de la Independencia, the Museo de Antropología, Bosque de Chapultepec and even to the Monumento a la Revolución. Mexico City is a vibrant city. Every Sunday, the Paseo de la Reforma is closed to traffic for the bikers and walkers that take on the city beautiful avenue with their bikes. I will definitely stay again in this hotel which I highly recommend.
My wife and I just returned from a three-day trip to Mexico City. It was our first trip there and we were fortunate enough to have booked our stay at the Marquis Reforma in Cuauhtemom. We can't say enough about the hotel or the staff. Our room was larger than we expected, perfectly made, and spotless. Our thanks to the personnel who work tirelessly to keep the rooms in such great condition. A special thanks goes out to our concierge, Jose Acero, a true gentleman whose advice and assistance helped us through some awkward scheduling problems. Additional thanks to the bellhops, Juan Carlos and Oscar L., without whose warmth and kindness our stay would not have been so memorable.
We'll be returning to Mexico City with the rest of the family before too long, and, of course, we'll be returning to the Marquis Reform Hotel and hope to see our friends again.
This hotel is exceptional - location, quality of the rooms, restaurants and the best breakfast EVER. What makes this hotel so amazing is the passion and commitment of the people who work there.
One morning at breakfast, the server noticed that I had an irritating cough. He brought me a special cup of tea to soothe my throat. It worked! A small gesture, but it made an huge impression and indicates a great workplace culture
